Can a Western-style boot give your fall wardrobe a fabulous new twist? Absolutely.
Now, here in Texas, that can be a little dicey. So many of us already have custom-made boots or, at the very least, a beautiful pair of Luccheses. We know a real Western boot when we see one.
But the fashion world has fully embraced the Western-style boot, and the options this season are just too good to ignore. You will find pointed-toe Chelsea boots with a Western heel, beautiful tall boots, and styles that are a little more fashion-forward than traditional. All are off-the-charts fabulous and pop any look you pair them with.
And then there are the wild cards: round-toed, distressed, a little more unexpected, and completely worth a look. Think skinny jeans tucked in, a skirt with a touch of attitude, or any look that wants a little less polish and a little more personality.
One of my clients gave us the perfect example of just how chic this can be. She was attending a black-tie wedding on a ranch, and for the wedding, we paired a knee-high Western-style boot with her full-length gown. It was fabulous. The night before, she wore those same boots with her cocktail look for the rehearsal dinner — and we loved it just as much.
Since then, those boots have gone to several cocktail events, where they have been a huge hit. That is the beauty of a great Western-style boot: it can bring a little unexpected magic to a gown, a dress, or your favorite jeans.
