Consider this week’s post a preview of our favorite Fall trends for the season. In it, we will share an overview of those favorites, with a few helpful details sprinkled throughout. And I want to share that I believe this fall’s trends are a delight in terms of chic wearability!
This week’s shopping showcases only a few pieces from each trend, but in the following weeks, we’ll explore them more fully as the season continues to unfold. And because it’s Fall, you know they’ll be delicious! This will be such a fun journey of treasures from which to choose your new Fall looks.
The trends we’ll be seeing cover quite a range, so as usual, I have gone through and selected timeless keepers that will serve you well—along with a few fun and edgier pieces. There’s so much to love!
THE TRENDS
I am absolutely in love with this fall’s trends! They span a wide range of styles and colors, which makes the season quite the adventure. As you explore what we’re sharing, you’ll see how just a few incredible pieces can make your fall wardrobe pop when paired with what you already own. To me, this season is the perfect mix of quiet luxury investments and pure fashion fun. Read on to see what fall 2026 is all about!
This fall season is often described as a balance between boldness and refinement, which I translate to timeless meets edgy. If you know me, you know I always lean toward timeless. Still, the easy edginess you will see adds depth, breadth, and a spark of interest to your wardrobe. Trend lists vary depending on who you ask, but I’ve curated what I believe is truly worthy and will help you create the kind of chic I always encourage. As we approach this season, keep in mind a philosophy that will serve you so well: quality and longevity. This is a principle I live by and one I know will serve you endlessly. So ladies, embrace it—it’s the smartest investment you can make.
This fall, we’ll be seeing luxe fabrications in soft textures, including brushed wools and knits, offering comfort and warmth.
The color palette ranges from rich earth tones to chocolate brown—hailed as the “new black,” though really, ladies, can anything ever replace the chic splendor of true black? You’ll also see varying shades of olive green and grey in the mix, balanced by softer notes of pale pink. I believe those are the most noteworthy colors to consider.
When it comes to outerwear, look for scarf jackets and fringe-trimmed scarf jackets, as well as capes and statement coats and jackets, often with funnel necks. In this same neighborhood—but on the more casual side—is the barn jacket. And one more timeless piece to add is the blazer, which brings so much punch to any look. Cardigans are shorter this season, and along with blazers, they are such a critical finishing piece for any look.
Skirts in both pencil and circle designs, along with skirt suits, bring timelessness and fun to the table. Minimalist dresses are something to watch for and will add so much chic to your wardrobe. Pair these timeless silhouettes with the season’s T-strap pumps, and wow!
Velvet is a fabric to look for that will add that special something. It’s been a while since this was a trend.
You’ll see leather in many forms this season, with a strong focus on suede. Think jackets and skirts, shoes, boots, and, of course, bags—all in the rich texture of suede.
Wide-leg jeans are still the ticket, along with their new friend, the barrel leg. Both silhouettes will be everywhere in many incarnations—from denim and wool to evening pants—bringing either timelessness or an adventurous edge to any look. Also, be sure to consider the ever-so-flattering bootcut and flare legs in any pant or jean. These silhouettes flatter every body type, creating a longer, leaner line—and who doesn’t love that? Though they have always been the chicest of silhouettes, it is wonderful to see them highlighted as trends.
When it comes to handbags, the standout trends this season are the slouchy bag and the more structured silhouettes of doctor and bowling bags.
And finally, shoes! Western-inspired boots are still going strong, with tall boots of all styles leading the pack. The pointed toe and kitten heel, both incredibly timeless, will be major influences in boot silhouettes—thank heavens—and, of course, in pumps as well. You’ll also see chunky boots, clogs, loafers, and slim retro sneakers, each adding just the right touch of edge to your look. And suede—my personal favorite—is everywhere this fall. Its rich, soft texture brings something extraordinary to virtually every shoe silhouette.

Fall trends are always exciting, but this year is something special. The season invites us to embrace refinement while also reaching for bold touches that bring a bit of edge to timeless style. It’s all about celebrating elegance every day and welcoming back that fabulous fall feeling we’ve missed. From my perspective, the soft luxury of this delicious season is already in full swing. Wow to fall—and to the richness, timelessness, and pure fun of getting dressed every day!
