The Best of Fall Style Trends 2022 – Part 2

This week we’re completing the best of Fall’s style trends with a look at bags and shoes/boots!

You’ll see a host of fabulous shoe and boot silhouettes this season, along with a distinctively different look at bag sizes, which I’ll fill you in on below. Both categories feature the rich and gorgeous neutral shades of fall that we all so love—with the occasional pop of fuschia in the shopping—should that speak to you.

FALL BAGS TO LOVE

This season’s collection of handbags is absolutely stunning. And interestingly, the focus is on extra large and micro-sized bags—my two favorite options!

I’m possessed by these seriously oversized and super small bags, and I believe you will be as well as you peruse the fabulous collection of candidates I’ve shopped for you. Each one is more gorgeous than the last!

Oversized Bags

As far as size is concerned, occasionally, a client will express concern that they are too small to carry bags of the “super-sized” variety. The truth is, your height has absolutely no bearing on your ability to carry off a larger bag. Oversized bags are show-stopping and will garner compliments, no matter your size. In fact, they carry with them a massively chic “punch” that you can’t help but love.

Micro Bags

At the other end of the spectrum are the micro bags. Most will fit your phone, credit cards, and a tube of lipstick at the minimum. And for those bags that are even smaller, the latest Samsung flip phone is looking better and better, lol! (I love those ads and figured this would make you laugh).

You’re going to love what you see—I just know it!

FALL SHOES, IN ALL THEIR GLORY!

The trends in shoes this season include pointy-toe ballet flats, pointy-toe pumps with kitten and stiletto heels, sneakers, mules, clogs, and platform sandals.

I see the platform sandals and clogs as fabulous with wide-leg and flare-leg jeans and pants, while the pumps are stunning worn with all the knit dresses and skirt sets out this season.

Pair the ballet flats (or even some of the mules) with narrower-leg ankle-length pants for looks reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn and the 50s. And the sneakers shown this fall are fun and edgy.

BOOTS, BOOTS, AND MORE DELICIOUS BOOTS!

To say that I am possessed by the boots this season is an understatement!

Boots include over-the-knee silhouettes from flats and lug soles to pointy-toe and heeled. Each is stunning and creates a wide range of look possibilities.

Pointy-toe boots—whether worn to the ankle, knee, or over-the-knee—are timeless, show-stopping investments both in terms of style longevity, and wear. They are all fabulous keepers to which I always say “YES!”

I love all the ankle boots—they are such great investments, and you’ll have them forever… or until you wear them out! The knee-height lug-sole boots, along with the other knee and over-the-knee boots, are perfect for your knit dress looks, among others, this season.
