One of the many things I love about spring and summer is its casual approach to life.
The relaxed chic of the season calls to my fun-loving soul and speaks to that part of me that loves to travel and play. Having said that, I want to share some delicious, brand-new arrivals that I love and would make the perfect summer additions to your “go out and play” wardrobe.
The pieces I have shopped all come from some very fun retailers and what I love about them is their showstopping nature as well as their potential widespread useability. Each piece will work with a myriad of treasures you already own and will give your casual wardrobe a real “pop”!
THE WHITE CRISPY SHIRT
This wardrobe essential is such an easy piece from which to get a lot of mileage (and “pop”) from your look. Each of these can make a statement with almost no effort when paired with jeans, shorts, and skirts.
BOTTOMS
I’ve found a few stunning bottoms that I am possessed by! Each is different from the other and offers up statement looks.
And speaking of statement looks, the incredible striped-knit (denim-looking) stretchy pant you see in the shopping is a piece that will garner compliments from everyone. They are also so comfy you will feel like you are in your lounge pants! I love, love, love them!
SHOES (& A BAG!)
And on to one of our favorite topics—shoes! I loved every single one of the styles shown.
FYI, the combats are a seriously hot ticket this summer! And the delicate strappy sandal is perfect with baggy and rolled cuffed bottoms—even joggers. The two flat sandals will look incredible with your jeans, joggers, and shorts. I’ve even included an adorable raffia bag that will be perfect with all your casual summer looks.
CARDIGANS & PULLOVERS
If you are like me and find yourself miserably chilled in air conditioning, you are going to be obsessed with these yummy looks in the cardigans and pullovers.
The little black short sleeve sweater from Rosetta Getty is perfect with wide-leg work pants and your more serious dressing guises. It is a fabulous multi-use piece, perfect for business, luncheons, etc. It is an understated piece that will “pop” your look.
LOUNGEWEAR
We are all probably changed forever when it comes to loungewear. In the past, this was not a priority category, but now they are treasured goodies to own as we’re all wearing them now more than ever.

I love the richness of the olive shirt, the length and chic of the white linen tunic, and the fabulously original silhouette of the denim shirt. And the peasant shirt is one of those pieces that you will use endlessly with every style of jean and denim shorts.
