I’m so excited to share the latest arrivals in handbags—our favorite category to shop for and own—second only to shoes, of course!
But before I begin to extoll the attributes of our delicious “new arrival” spring and summer bags, let me take a moment to address a request that has been asked of us numerous times, and that is, many of you are looking for pieces that cost less but still possess the style and chic of their designer counterparts. Well, we have definitely heard you!
That being said, you’ll note that we’ve shopped not only our usual glorious designer bags but also some fabulous not-quite-designer bags that pack a beautiful designer-like punch at a lower price point. We recommend that you look through all of the pieces we’ve shopped, as you might just be surprised by what speaks to you and at what price tag!
So, here’s the thing about bags—they are statement makers! In fact, they can actually make or break your level of chic. And not only that, we tend to live with our bags for ages. While we sometimes buy, wear, and discard all other elements of our wardrobes, we don’t tend to do that with our bags. I can testify to that, having spent copious amounts of time in my clients’ closets over the years. It is a rare thing to see bags let go!
This season’s handbags are no exception to the “show-stoppers” rule. From oversized totes and satchels to bags in raffia and sporting the croc look, what I’m seeing is incredible! Some options are more suited to chic, dressed-up looks, while others will take you anywhere. Regardless of which you choose, each of these bags is stunning and fun!
On a personal note, I am possessed by oversized totes and mini bags. Both of these categories of bags are endlessly useful, and each piece is a timeless “keeper” for years to come.

Though you will see a few smaller iterations of this category, most are oversized, following this season’s trend. Oversized totes are my personal favorite! There is tons of fun to be had with these new arrivals, for sure!

These timeless treasures are always a hit and easy to wear. They pack a seriously chic punch to your look. I have included top-handled bags in this category, which are perfect for your dressier looks. They are so gorgeous, and I’m sure you’ll agree!
Clutches, Wristlets, Backpacks, and Evening Bags
This combination of bag styles fills a variety of wardrobe needs.
The clutch bags we show here are small and understated but pack a serious punch when pulling your look together—as do the wristlets. Backpacks are endlessly handy and yet can sometimes be hard to find. I love what I’ve found for their light weight and chic, making these fabulous finds even more valuable as you load them up.
And last but not least, the evening bags are incredible in this category. They are timeless finds you will have for years, many of which can be worn for casual AND dressier nights out.
Crossbody Bags
These are my go-to, can’t-live-without bags!
I am drawn to and own a large number of crossbody bags. I love them for their easy hands-free aspect and their chic. These fun and fabulous finds will serve you endlessly and pop your look! Each is a timeless treasure!
Summing it all up…
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that handbags are the second “tell” of your level of chic, right after shoes. This is why I encourage you to invest in them. You spend more time with your bags than most things in your life, so be sure that you’re possessed by whatever you choose to purchase. If you buy well, you will have your bags forever!
And before I leave you to your shopping, I would like to share a short story from my youth with you.
When I was 16 years old, one of my aunts took me on my first shopping trip to Bergdorf Goodman, where she shared a life-altering principle with me.
She said, “It is better to have a few special (expensive) treasures than a whole lot of (cheap) stuff.”
This resonated so strongly with me that I have always remembered her counsel. If you were to look in my closet today, you would see that I live the wisdom she shared with me that day. I am passing this on to you as it meant so much to me. Though this concept most assuredly applies to every aspect of your wardrobe, it definitely applies to handbags.
