The chill of winter brings with it some seriously yummy and luxurious looks in the way of winter play clothes.
This part of my winter wardrobe is by far my favorite. Not only is this my favorite time of year to dress, but this is also my favorite style of dress. I love pairing gorgeous sweaters with fabulous jackets and boots for glorious, luxe looks, and I savor the opportunity to dress this way as I so love the richness of the fabrics and color palettes.

For skinny jeans, think of them almost like leggings — try them with tall boots, mid-calf styles, or even the shearling and lace-up boots included in this week’s shopping (which hit just shy of mid-calf) for a fun, edgy look. I see both the wide-leg and bootcut jeans paired with chunky, lug-sole boots or pointed-toe kitten or stiletto-heeled boots, and of course, the ever-so-popular western look bootie.
Choosing your denim and boot look is the most challenging part of pulling your look together. All the sweaters and jackets I’ve shopped (which are simply fabulous, by the way) will pair flawlessly with any of the jeans/boots combinations you choose. How’s that for simple?
