‘Tis the Season for Coziness
It’s no great surprise that with the colder weather that accompanies the fall and winter months our thoughts turn to all things cozy. And what is cozier than beautiful sweaters rich in color and fabrication. This year in particular the sweaters you’ll see are to die for—because this is the year of the knit!
In my opinion, cozy sweaters are right up there with boots when thinking of dressing for cold weather. We can take such pleasure being enveloped in the warmth and luxury of a luscious sweater. Not only are they essential to your wardrobe, but they are also so very versatile.
For a “grown-up” look, pair a chic trouser with a gorgeous cashmere sweater. And to achieve a more casual look, go with a fabulous, fluted silhouette worn with jeans or leggings. Knits in the form of a cardigan are always a great option, both short and long. Keep in mind that longer lengths give the appearance of slenderness.

Cozy Turtle and Mock Turtleneck Sweaters
Turtle and mock turtlenecks are often considered the foundation of winter sweaters. That higher neck provides added warmth against the chill outside and in terms of chic, they are often at the top of the timeless chic scale.
These sweaters, worn with warm cashmere or wool trousers or a wide or flare-leg jean, create a simple, timeless chic that is so easy to throw together and makes such a gorgeous statement. Pair them with shearling or pointy toe boots or shoes and you are ready for the cold.

Next up are crew neck and V-neck silhouettes. I love the way that tunic sweaters lengthen and slenderize—and for those of you who are larger busted or shorter in the torso, V-necks are your best friend. I love this portion of our blog. The variety of adorable treasures is so enticing, I think.
The dress, for instance, is fabulous! I see it paired with lug-sole chunky boots or even a riding boot.
The little blazer from Armani is a timeless piece that would be showstopping with anything you pair it with, be it trousers or jeans. And here’s a helpful hint: with this jacket, you will want to wear wide-leg or flare-leg trousers or jeans.
And while we’re on the topic of pants, I am possessed by the split-leg cashmere trousers! They would be perfect worn with cashmere hoodies, a jacket, and the tunic sweaters you see here. Who wouldn’t be possessed by an entire cashmere jogger set? Wow, wow, and wow some more!
