When we think of fall, cozy, warm, and luxurious textures and colors come to mind…and the fall textures this year do not disappoint!
We love the richness and sophistication of cashmere, and in terms of color, we gravitate toward winter white and the timeless luxury of camel—along with the few color additions which are gorgeous as well.
KNITS
This season we’re going to see knits of all sorts including loungewear, leggings, and joggers—and they will be plentiful! We’ll also be seeing them in various incarnations from leggings to dresses.
And while we’re on the subject of knits, you’ll note that the industry is still highly focused on loungewear in soft and cozy fabrications, including cashmere. Look for joggers, hoodies, and all the usual loungewear goodies.
Sweaters abound in cashmere and other cushy fabrics—and I’m seeing lots of oversized and tunic-length silhouettes. We will also see vests everywhere and in numerous fabrications as well.
MENSWEAR
The menswear trend this season naturally involves jackets in both double and single-breasted iterations. It also encompasses trousers, vests, button-front shirts, ponchos, capes, and dress coats.
I love that the menswear trend is so all-encompassing!
MONOCHROMATIC
Additionally, the monochromatic look is a huge trend that I consider to be the pinnacle of chic. It is the height of subtle luxury and show-stopping fabulousness as you are sure to see in the pieces I’ve shopped for this post!
MIDI-LENGTH SILHOUETTES
Midi-length dresses, skirts, and coats are everywhere—and I think you’re going to love what you see!
THE LITTLE BLACK DRESS (A.K.A. LBD)
LBDs make an appearance this season and as a serious essential, this dress becomes a must-have.
60s CASUAL
Where casual is concerned, the 60s is a full-on trend this season. If this style speaks to you, be on the lookout for flare-leg jeans and platform sandals—and of course, we’ve shopped some fabulous options for you!
APRÉS SKI
Aprés ski is huge this season! You’re going to love the puffers and boots I’ve found for you.
FALL TRENDS COLOR PALETTE
The colors for fall are all over the board from jewel tones to winter white. My money is on winter white and various shades of nude. However, if you’re looking for a pop of color you’ll want to think along the lines of red, fuchsia, and blue.
FALL TRENDS SUMMARY
I’m excited that this season has that fabulous luxe fall feeling about it. I love the overall richness of each of the categories we’re seeing represented as trends this fall. They draw you in and create a sense of excitement about wanting to get dressed to the nines out in the world.
